Our Mission

We want to provide you free, easy-to-use tool, that can be used for comprehensive analysis of Mass Spectrometry Imaging. We believe it will be useful during your research, and hopefully, some day also for diagnostic purposes.

What do we do?

Our team develops open source software for analysis of Mass Spectrometry Imaging data. We are part of Data Mining Group from the Silesian University of Technology, and cooperate with Maria Skłodowska-Curie Memorial Cancer Center and Institute of Oncology Gliwice Branch. This way we adapt to the needs of researchers and medical doctors. We exhibit unique algorithms like Divisive intelligent K-means (DiviK) for compression and heterogeneity analysis, and Gaussian Mixture Model based spectra modelling or peak picking, which had been invented in Data Mining group.

Who are we?

We are a cross-university student initiative made of individuals who want to do more and break the limits. Our team consist of nine members at the moment, from Silesian University of Technology in Gliwice and University of Science and Technology in Krakow under supervision of prof. Joanna Polanska.

We are interested in starting cooperation of any kind with you.
